1983

Eduard Nikolayevich Polenkov

He was the commander of the Druzhba garrison in Janska. He was awarded the honorary citizenship for his active work in favour of the development of Varnsdorf and his personal contribution in strengthening the fraternal ties between Czechoslovakia and the Soviet Union.

The honorary citizenship of the town was awarded by Varnsdorf on 8 June 1983.

Rimma Alexadrovna Gavrilova

She was a heroine of socialist labour, a laureate of the State Prize of the USSR, a member of the Presidium of the Supreme Soviet of the USSR. She received the honorary citizenship for her merits in the development of extraordinary forms of socialist competition and innovative methods of work, for her personal contribution in strengthening the lasting friendship between the working people of the USSR and the USSR, between the towns of Vyazniki and Varnsdorf.

The honorary citizenship of the town was awarded to Varnsdorf on 16 November 1983.
