Health and social care

A number of facilities provide health care in Varnsdorf. One of them is the Varnsdorf Hospital. The main professional departments in the hospital, whose founder is the City of Varnsdorf, are surgical outpatient clinic, orthopaedic-traumatological outpatient clinic, gynaecological outpatient clinic, rehabilitation. The inpatient part consists of a hospital for long-term patients divided into three wards. In the hospital it is now possible to use the X-ray department and ultrasound.
Currently, there are about two dozen doctors in Varnsdorf from the fields of paediatrics, general medicine, neurology, pulmonary, ENT, internal medicine, diabetology, gynaecology, dentistry, and others. Seven pharmacies dispense medicines. Another medical facility is the municipal polyclinic, where not only general practitioners but also a number of specialists have their offices. There is a detached office of the Demosthenes Special Education Centre in the town, where there is also a speech therapy and a specialist in surdopedia (hearing impairment).

Social services and facilities
There is an organisational unit in the town which provides registered social services - field programme, social activation activities for families with children, dormitory, low threshold facility for children and youth, care service
