Carving symposium at Mašíňák

On Friday 27th and Saturday 28th June, a carving symposium will take place on the beach at Mašíňák Pond, offering a unique spectacle for lovers of carving, wood and live art.
During the two days, carvers will come to create sculptures and objects from wood right in front of the visitors' eyes. Visitors will have a unique opportunity to watch the entire process of creation - from the first notch with a chisel to the finished work. The finished works will remain on the beach of Mašíňák. They will replace the recently removed aged sculptures that visitors used to sit on while recreating.
The carving symposium at Mashinak is a great way to spend the beginning of summer in the spirit of traditional craftsmanship, inspiration and creativity. Come and see how an ordinary piece of wood becomes art. On Friday 27 June, the carvers will get to work shortly after noon.
